These large paintings are a tribute to my mother, Yasue Murasugi (1930-2022), an exemplary mother, wife, teacher, and artist. Born in Tokyo, she immigrated to Toronto with her husband and first two daughters in 1960, to spend the remainder of her life in Canada.
